Briagolong was one of four projects awarded to Kubale Constructions by DEWLP as part of a facilities upgrade in East Gippsland for their fire-fighting fleet. This site was designed to facilitate the storage and maintenance of their new Unimog and G-Wagon vehicles.
After demolition of the existing buildings was complete, significant civil works were undertaken on the road and drainage including asphalt and curbing. New buildings of approximately 880 sqr metres were erected on slabs using conventional steel portal frames and clad with Colourbond. Individual bays were built for each vehicle with an industrial wash-down bay at the end with vacuum equipment. Sitting aside from the main building is a smaller dangerous goods storage shed.
The contract included a full security upgrade to the site including access control, CCTV and the installation of large, industrial palisade sliding gates to complete the secure enclosure.
This project was handed over within budget and on time to a satisfied client.
