Heyfield was the smaller of four projects awarded to Kubale Constructions by DEWLP as part of a facilities upgrade in East Gippsland for their fire-fighting fleet. This site was designed to facilitate the storage and maintenance of their new G-Wagon vehicles including a large and separate dangerous goods storage shed.
After demolition of the existing buildings was complete, significant civil works were undertaken on the road and drainage including asphalt and curbing. New buildings of approximately 600 sqr metres were erected on slabs using conventional steel portal frames and clad with Colourbond.
The contract included the installation of self-bunded diesel and petrol storage tanks, bowsers, a canopy, bollards and an underground Pureceptor oil and water separator tank system. The site was then completed with a minor security upgrade.
This project was handed over within budget and on time to a satisfied client.
