Kubale Constructions successfully tendered for the contract to build new medical offices and a medical records storage facility for the Latrobe Regional Hospital. The new buildings were to be constructed on hospital land adjacent their existing facilities.
The project involved the construction of an architecturally designed 390 square metre stand-alone office building with another 535 square metre purpose designed storage building for medical records. This building contained fire protection throughout to reduce the risk to documents within. Both buildings were predominantly precast panel constructions and works included a large car park and the all the associated civil works.
The construction project was complicated by the need to work within an operational hospital site requiring additional sensitivity to public safety, subcontractor access and the presentation of the site. This project was successfully completed on time and within budget.
