This project was a competitive tender and marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with Baulderstone who, at the time, were the principal contractor in the construction of the new Tarago Water Treatment Plant in Gippsland.
Kubale Constructions was contracted to build the Control Building which is hub of operations at the plant. With a contract value approximately $2.1m, works included a fully equipped kitchen, staff amenities and bathrooms, a laboratory testing room for water quality, sever room, control room, meeting room and various offices. In total, the building footprint was over 500 square metres surrounded by mixed architectural claddings and complex cantilevered canopies.
It was a difficult contract to project-manage given the scale of building activities surrounding the site. To finish, Kubale Constructions completed the fit out with furniture and office fixtures.
The project was completed on time and on budget leading to a happy client and further contracts.
